In a  restaurant franchise business , a  Supply Chain Coordinator working for the  franchisor plays a critical role in ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all franchise locations. Their responsibilities are more strategic and standardized compared to roles in a standalone restaurant.

Supply Chain Coordinator Responsibilities (Franchisor – Restaurant Franchise Business)

1. Vendor and Supplier Management

  • Source and manage relationships with approved vendors for food, packaging, uniforms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure suppliers meet quality, food safety, and brand standards.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).

2. Franchise Support & Compliance

  • Coordinate with franchisees to ensure they are sourcing from approved suppliers.
  • Monitor compliance with brand procurement policies and specifications.
  • Provide training and support to franchisees on supply chain systems and processes.

3. Demand Forecasting & Inventory Coordination

  • Analyze sales data across franchise locations to forecast demand and manage product availability.
  • Work with distributors to plan inventory levels and avoid shortages or surpluses.
  • Coordinate product rollouts and limited-time offers (LTOs) to align with marketing campaigns.

4. Logistics & Distribution Oversight

  • Coordinate the distribution of goods from central warehouses or distribution centers to franchisees.
  • Monitor delivery performance and resolve logistical issues that may disrupt restaurant operations.

5. New Store Onboarding

  • Support new franchise openings by coordinating initial stock delivery, equipment procurement, and vendor setup.
  • Ensure supply chain readiness aligns with opening timelines.

6. Cost Control & Efficiency

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings across the supply chain (e.g., bulk purchasing, route optimization).
  • Track key metrics like food cost variance, delivery lead times, and supplier performance.

7. Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain and improve supply chain management systems (e.g., ordering platforms, inventory tools).
  • Generate regular reports for leadership on supply performance, compliance, and risks.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in foodservice, hospitality, or restaurant supply chain preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FDA, local standards).
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory or ERP systems
  • Ability to work with franchisees and manage vendor partnerships across multiple locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
