The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform complex technical functions within the Medical Cannabis Program. Determines eligibility of medical cannabis registry applications and completes final processing of applications including approval of the application and registry card printing. Corresponds with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure applications are processed compliant with the Illinois Administrative Rules and statutes related to the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Act. Provides feedback on systems and procedures used in medical cannabis card processing. Keeps track of deficiencies and issues in the medical cannabis patient registry system. Assists with correspondence with Spanish speaking clients.
